Youths to get financial and technical assistance for starting their venture

Jaipur, 21 July. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that focus should be made on entrepreneurship development along with skill training among youth. She said financial and technical assistance would be provided to the youth who want to start their own venture. She asked the officials to prepare a work-plan regarding this.

Smt. Raje was addressing an important meeting on skill development here at Chief Minister’s office on Monday. Chairman of National Skill Development Council (NSDC) Shri S. Ramadurai was also present on this occasion.

The Chief Minister said skill development programmes should be prepared keeping in mind long-term and short term requirements of the state. She asked for working at tandem with National Development Skill Council so that trained youth could be attached with employment.

Smt. Raje directed the officials to develop employment offices in the state as career centres so that youth can get facilities of counseling, skill development and placement. She asked to prepare a detailed roadmap and work accordingly. She said more paramedics should be provided training so that their services could be availed in villages and rural areas. She also emphasized on business management training for youth.

 Smt. Raje said big industries and corporate houses should be invited for industrial development and bringing more investment in the state.

Chairman of NSDC Shri S. Ramadurai applauded the initiatives taken by RSLDC for skill development including bio-metric attendance and monitoring system. He laid stress on preparing skill development programmes as per the requirements of the industries besides emphasizing on online exams and use of information technology.

Deputy Chairman of the CM Advisory Council and Economist Dr. Arvind Panagaria while citing the example of China said industries should be promoted in the state. Chief Secretary Shri Rajiv Mehrishi emphasized on preparing skill development programmes as per the current requirement of the industries.

Member of the CM Advisory Council Shri Manish Sabbarwal applauded the efforts being made by the state government to remove obstacles in employment generation. He said the students of ITI and Polytechnic would be able to get direct admission in the proposed Skill University in Rajasthan which will boost their moral.

Chairman of RSLDC Shri M. L. Mehta divulged the details about the programmes run by RSLDC for specially abled persons and women. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Shyam S. Agarwal informed about the skill development in the schools.

Labour Secretary Shri Rajat Mishra and MD, RSLDC Shri Gaurav Goyal gave presentation regarding initiatives taken by the state government in labour reforms and skill development.
