Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje met the Union Minister of State for Textile Shri Santosh Gangwar at Udyog Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday. She demanded that the process of establishing six Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CEPT), proposed to be set-up in Rajasthan, be simplified.

The CM informed that the state government had sent proposal to the central government for setting up two CEPTs in Pali district, two in Balotara, one in Jasol and one next generation Textile Park in Pali. These plants sre to be established under the Integrated Processing Development Scheme. In these, 50% of the cost would be shared by the central government, 25% by the state government and rest 25% through loans etc. She said that in its proposal, the state government had forwarded approval for 25% cost share of the state along with no-objection certificates for all these plants.

Smt. Raje requested the Union Minister of State to simplify the process of setting-up these plants and make information collection easy, so that that construction of these could be completed in time.

The Chief Minister further said that another proposal of setting up a ‘Unique Hi-Tech Mass Production Technology Development Centre‘ was pending with the Heavy Industries Ministry of the central government. In this proposal, a request had been made to provide 126 crore rupees for the centre. The CM asked Shri Gangwar to have a dialogue with the Heavy Industries Ministry on this.

Smt. Raje also said that the Textile Ministry should also speed-up its approval to the proposal of setting-up the ‘Centre of Excellence in Mobiletex‘ in Rajasthan. She said that the automobile hub in the state would act as a booster for this excellence centre.

During this, Lok Sabha Member from Jaipur Shri Ramchara Bohra and Chairman of the Central Wool Board and former MP Shri Jaswant Singh Vishnoi also accompanied the CM.
