Closing Ceremony of the 33rd All India Police Equestrian Meet, CM presents awards to the winning teams

Jaipur, 20 February. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje presented awards to the winning teams of the 33rd All India Police Equestrian Meet during the closing ceremony of the meet held at Rajasthan Police Academy on Friday. National Police Academy, Hyderabad secured first position, BSF team secured second while Rajasthan Police team secured third position in the overall performance during the Meet.

Smt. Raje congratulated all the teams who performed well and the all 17 participating teams. She said,

“I believe that the teams who could not secure good position in this event will do more practice and will perform their best in the next event.”

The Chief Minister said Head Constable of Rajasthan Police Sapna has made the state proud by winning gold medal in 20 kilometer walk event. She announced that the state government will take care of all the training expenses of Sapna for preparing for the next events. She also announced that trainer of Rajasthan team captain Bhagirath would be given Rs. 1 lakh by the state government as token of appreciation and will be given responsibility of giving training to the equestrian team of Rajasthan Police.

Smt. Raje declared the Meet closed and handed over the Meet flag to DGP, Rajasthan for the next Meet. DGP accepted the flag for safe custody from the Chief Minister. Teams participating in the Meet showed stunts in Tent Pegging and Trick Riding events.

Home Minister Shri Gulab Chand Kataria announced that Head Constable Sapna will be promoted as Sub Inspector as she has made the state proud by her performance at national level.

Director General of Police Shri Omendra Bhardwaj welcomed the guests in the beginning of the ceremony while ADGP Shri Rajiv Dasot delivered vote of thanks in the end.
