CENTRALISED CALL CENTRE OF JAIPUR DISCOM INAUGURATED

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje inaugurated the centralised call centre of the Jaipur Discom by making the first call on Tuesday. During the review meeting of Energy Department at Chief Minister’s residence she made call, congratulated the staff and asked them to make efforts for quick disposal of the complaints.

The officials of the Energy Department informed that 6 types of complaints could be registered on this call centre and time limit has been fixed for the disposal of the various complaints.

While reviewing the progress of the implementation of the budget announcements and achievements of the Energy Department Smt. Raje said that efforts should be made to check power theft and it should be ascertained that sufficient power is supplied during the summer season. Smt. Raje said that the targets set by the department should be met in a time bound manner.

The Chief Minister said senior officials of the DISCOMS should visit in the field and monitor the efforts made to check theft and transmission & distribution losses. She also directed to replace defective meters and said that meters which are defective for more than two years should be replaced on a priority basis. She also directed to maintain standard while installation of GSS. She asked officials of RREC to promote installation of Solar Photo Vaultic power plants on the roof top of government buildings, Bank and School buildings.

Smt. Raje directed the Discom CMDs regarding feeder renovation, reconditioning of single and three phase transformers, tightening of loose wires and take strong action to check power theft.

Chief Secretary Shri C. S. Rajan directed the officials for early implementation of the new format of general billing which has been approved by the state government.

Principal Secretary Energy Shri Sanjay Malhotra gave presentation about the targets set and achievements made by the department and the work plan for the current financial year.

Principal Secretary Finance Shri P S Mehra, Special Secretary Finance (Budget) Shri Siddharth Mahajan, MD Jaipur Discom Shri Anurag Bhardwaj, MD Ajmer Discom Shri Hemant Gera, MD Jodhpur Discom Ms Aarti Dogra, MD RREC Shri B K Dosi and other officials were present in the meeting.
