Concerted efforts needed to bring more investors in Rajasthan: CM
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje said Rajasthan keeps unique place on world tourism map. Concerted efforts should be made and effective measures should be taken to enhance the glory of Rajasthan and attract more investors to the state, she said.
Smt. Raje was reviewing the important projects related to tourism development in the state at Jodhpur House in New Delhi on Wednesday. She sought information from the officials of the tourism department regarding to Amber Development and Management Authority (ADMA), programmes and schemes related to the department of archaeology & museums and development of tourism.
Mentioning the Resurgent Rajasthan Summit to be held in November, 2015 the Chief Minister said Rajasthan has abundant chances of growth in tourism sector. She asked officials to identify various tourist places where there is possibilities of development of new tourist circuits.
Smt. Raje discussed possibilities of setting up Wax Museum at Nahargarh Fort, increase amenities in Amber Palace, progress of budget announcements regarding establishment of International Museum at SMS Town Hall and development of Global Art Square at Jaleb Chowk in Jaipur. Infrastructure development in Ramgarh-Shekhawati was also discussed during the meeting. Proposals related to creation of Rajasthan Culture Fund, progress of Heritage Act, to arrange trained curators at various museums and training of curators were also discussed during the meeting.
Tourism, Art & Culture Minister Smt. Krishnendra Kaur ‘Deepa’, Members of CM Advisory Council Smt. Meera Mehrishi and Smt. Mala Singh, Principal Secretary Tourism Shri Shalendra Agarwal, Principal Secretary PWD Shri D. B. Gupta, Principal Resident Commissioner Dr. Savita Anand, Director of ADMA Shri Hridesh Sharma and other officials were present in the meeting.
