Government Is Promoting AYUSH Medical Practices

Expressing concerns on excessive use of urea and other chemical fertilizers in fruits, vegetables and other edible crops the Chief Minister argued for their controlled use. She said that the farmers in the state needed to learn benefits of organic farming. Organic corps were expensive but were healthy. She said that generally high quantity of oil was used in the kitchens traditionally, which was harmful for a healthy life. This could lead to by-pass surgery, bariatric surgery and diabetes etc. Thus, she suggested for a low-oil food. She stated that the medical practices like Ayurved, Homeopathy and Unani offered treatment for even those diseases which were not being treated well in allopathy.

Smt. Raje said that one could not feel others’ agony without being compassionate. Ayurved practitioners treat their patients with sympathy and perform commendable job without being famed. People need to understand the complexities of Allopathy and identify and honour our traditional knowledge.

“We cared for Sanskrit only when Germany understood it. We shifted our focus on herbal medicines only after the world started asking for it.” Smt. Vasundhara Raje.
