Pushkar to be developed as a temple town: CM
CM Lays Foundation Stone For Feeder Work
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that Pushkar will be developed as temple town on the lines of Tirupati Balaji. She said that special efforts will be made to develop 24 Kos Parikarama area in Pushkar along with Anasagar and Foysagar lakes of Ajmer. She said with the blessings of the saints and the collective efforts made by all of us Rajasthan is moving ahead on the path of development.
Smt. Raje was addressing the gathering after laying foundation stone for the Feeder construction work of worth Rs. 9.10 crore at Budha Pushkar on Saturday. She said Tirthraj Budha Pushkar has different place in the world from the religious point of view. During the last tenure our government development and renovation work for Budha Pushkar had been taken up in June 2006 and the efforts for the development would be continued this time also, she said. To develop Pushkar plan has been prepared of four years. Ajmer is going to become smart city and it shall be more developed in the coming time, she added.
The Chief Minister said state government is developing places of religious importance in every district including Tejaji Temple in Nagaur, Meerabai Temple, Gogamedi Temple in Hanumangarh, Khole ke Hanumanji in Jaipur and Samod.
Smt. Raje appealed to the people for proper cooperation and coordination regarding river linking projects. She said an awareness campaign shall be run to generate more awareness about the linking of rivers. She said our state faces scarcity of water and we will make it our strength. She also appealed to the people to connect with Swachch Rajasthan Campaign and asked people to become more aware about cleaning their homes, colonies and area.
The Chief Minister said we had promised to the people of the state to solve the matters related to revenue on priority basis and the ‘Nyay Aapke Dwar‘ campaign launched by the state government has been a great success in the state. During the 25 days of the campaign 5 lakh revenue matters have been resolved, she said. Now the campaign shall be run every year, she added.

Union Minister of State for Water Resources Prof Sanwarlal Jat, Water Resource Minister of Rajasthan Dr. Rampratap, Minister of State for Education and in-charge of Ajmer Shri Vasudev Devnani, Minister of State for Women & Child Development Smt. Anita Bhadel, Chairman of Rajasthan Heritage Protection and Promotion Authority Shri Omkar Singh Lakhawat, MLAs and other public representatives were present on this occasion.
