CM announces Rs. 50 lakh as untied fund for collectors proposals of Rs. 1400 crores approved for roads
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje announced allotment of Rs. 50 lakh as untied fund to each district collector so that they can provide relief to people by executing small works of public benefit. She also announced that proposals from districts regarding Rs. 600 crores worth of roads under Missing Links and Rs. 800 crores worth of roads under RIDF have been approved and tenders shall be floated shortly.
Smt. Raje was addressing the concluding session of the first day of Collector-SP conference here at CMO on Wednesday. She said she was glad to know that collectors were taking keen interest in innovations which lead to better public service delivery. She said to institutionalize these innovations collectors might upload details of their innovations on ‘Rajasthan Sampark Portal’ so that other districts can also get benefit of it. She said collectors should think out of box to make people happy.
The Chief Minister said under ‘Apni Beti’ scheme two extra ordinary girls from each district will be identified and cultured in education and other fields. She said under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ construction of household toilets and declaring villages open defecation free (ODF) should be on top priority of collectors. She also laid emphasis on sites of tourism, heritage and religious importance should be kept clean and graffiti free.
Smt. Raje said Adarsh Vidyalaya is the major initiative of the state government and collectors should keep close monitoring of it. She directed collectors to bring pace in soil health card distribution and linkage of Aadhar card with Bhamashah. She directed collectors to start work in one Panchayat Samiti of each district for Direct Transfer of Benefits (DBT) from August 15.
She said in the coming year the state government shall take up massive scheme of construction of water harvesting structures while keeping the boundary of watershed in mind. She asked for cooperation of public representatives, private sector players and public for the success of the programme.
The Chief Minister said collectors should provide relief to people using available staff and resources. She asked all DISCOMS to take seriously about security measures and strengthen the system in next three months.
