Chief Minister and Union Minister perform Yogaasans with public

SMS Stadium celebrates Yoga on International Day

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje and the Union Water Resources Minister Sushri Uma Bharati performed Yogaasans at the SMS Stadium during a state level function on International Yoga Day on Tuesday alongwith the members of State Cabinet, Members of Parliament, Members of State Legislative Assembly, public representatives, administrative officials and other dignitaries.

In the beginning, Smt. Raje and Sushri Bharati lighted a lamp. The yoga performances started with relaxation, neck and shoulder exercises. After this, aasanas with standing and sitting postures and those while lying belly-flop and backside were performed. The yoga movements ended with breathing and respiratory exercises anulom-vilom, pranaayam and meditation.

After the end of performances, CM Smt. Raje administered pledge to the yoga performers. She said that as a result of efforts made by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi yoga became popular worldwide soon after June 21 was declared as International Day for Yoga. She congratulated all the performers for their synchronized performances. She said that such public events help in creating a cohesive atmosphere in the state.

The Union Minister Sushri Bharati made the participating yoga performers to voice a mantra ‘Sarve Bhawantu Sukhina:…. She appreciated the way Smt. Raje performed yoga exercises. It showed that she was an skilled leader. Sushri Bharati also praised PM Shri Modi and said that he had unified the entire world into one through yoga. She appreciated all the participant performers and appealed everybody to adopt yoga in their daily routines.
