Students gave presentation before CM on Leadership Development Skill

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje saw presentation prepared by students of three schools of Jaipur under ‘Skilling and Knowhow Initiatives for Lifelong Leadership Development (SKILLD)’ programme here at Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday.

The programme has been introduced by the Global Education and Leadership Foundation in 13 countries of the world. In India this programme is being run in 16 states and is available in 9 languages.

Smt. Raje during the presentation discussed with students and shared her vision. She said involving students voluntarily in programmes like cleanliness and adult education will create consciousness among the youngsters. When students come forward for any social cause it leaves impact on others and inspires them to do something good, she said. She lauded the initiative and said such programmes are helpful in creating leadership skills among school children.

Manu Chaturvedi and Vidhi Khandelwal of Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School, Jaipur gave presentation on their project related to ‘Girl Child Education’. Both of them worked at Bhangarh Kalan village during this projects. Manu Chaturvedi recited the poem related to girl who could not get education just because she is a girl child. This poem touched the heart of everyone.

Drishti Agarwal and Taranjot Bahal of MGD School Jaipur gave presentation on their ‘Swachch Jaipur’ project. In this project they worked on creating awareness about waste management and sanitation among people of Kathputali Nagar slum area. They worked for generating awareness through Quiz, Games and Nukkad Nataks. Aayush Singh and Chetanya Godara of DPS Jaipur gave presentation on Adult Education Programme for School Bus Drivers.

CEO of Global Education and Leadership Foundation Smt. Gowri Ishwaran during her presentation on ‘Skilling and Knowhow Initiatives for Lifelong Leadership Development (SKILLD)’ programme informed that this programme focuses on cultivating values, life skills and leadership amongst students. She suggested that such programmes could be adopted in government schools of Rajasthan. Chief Minister gave necessary directions to the officials of education department regarding this.

Minister of State for Education Shri Vasudev Devnani, MP Shri Dushyant Singh, Chief Secretary Shri C. S. Rajan, Principal Secretary Elementary Education Shri P. K. Goyal, Secretary Secondary Education Shri Nareshpal Gangwar, Director of Global Education and Leadership Foundation Dinu Raheja, Director, Jai Shri Periwal Group of Schools Smt. Jai Shri Periwal were present on this occasion.
