CM requests Jaitley to reduce GST on marble and granite slabs
Meeting Union Finance Minister
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje met Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley on Wednesday in New Delhi and requested him to reduce GST rates on Marble and Granite slabs and tiles.
Smt. Raje said the marble and granite industry of Rajasthan has different identity in the world. The industry asking for reduction of rate of tax on Marble and Granite, other than blocks. To provide relief to this industry and consumers the present rates of GST needs to be reduced, she said. She also discussed the issues related to opium farmers.
Smt. Raje requested to Union Finance Minister to allow borrowings against repayment of principal loan taken under Uday Scheme.
Meeting with Union Transport Minister
The Chief Minister also met Union Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday at Transport Building in New Delhi. During her meeting with Shri Gadkari she requested to release Rs. 2823 crores sanctioned for the road projects for the current financial year.
Smt. Raje requested Shri Gadkari to sanction amount for the National Highway from Swarupganj-Kherwara-Dungarpur-Banswara upto State Border. She also requested to approve four laning of Soyla to Balesar via Osian and Tinwari road and State Highway-12 from Jaipur(Sanganer)-Phagi-Malpura-Kekri-Shahpura-Mandal(Bhilwara). Besides this she asked for declaring Suratgarh-Baropal-18SPD- Jakharanwali-Bherusari- Rawatsar- Nohar-Bhadra-Hisar route as National Highway and sanction amount for these projects.
The Chief Minister during her Delhi visit also met Union Minister of State for Tourism Shri K. J. Alphons and discussed about the development of tourism in the state.
