Keep innovating to build a digital future for Rajasthan

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje congratulated the successful Start Ups incubated by the Global Centre of Excellence, a joint initiative by JDA, Cisco and Genpact and speaking on the occasion, she said, “Digital is the future. This technology not only improves efficiency, but also makes processes transparent since these become transaction based”. She urged youth to continue to work hard to maintain Rajasthan’s position as a Digital Leader in India and realize Prime Minister’s vision for Digital India. She directed that the utility of Digital Technology should be demonstrated in schools and colleges right across the state.

The Chief Minister also congratulated the IT Department team for having won the prestigious CSI Nihilent Award of Excellence for being the Best e-Governance State, second time in a row.

Smt. Raje also met Dr. Anil Menon, Global President of Smart+ Connected Communities, Cisco Systems Inc. He discussed the various development initiatives in the state. Dr. Menon assured the CM of Cisco’s partnership in promoting and propagating both ICT and non-ICT initiatives in Rajasthan and assist in presenting the infrastructure and social sector initiatives in the state to a global audience.

During the meeting, Chief Minister issued certificates to 6 innovators namely; Urmil Bakhai, for developing solutions on Intelligent Transit Management, Mohd. Zafar for his Parking App, Shoeb Sameer for his application on citizen’s safety, Jitendra Agarwal for Smart Energy Meters, Gaurav Shah for WiFi Monetization and Shampa Ganguly for developing a Smart Parking Space Aggregation Application. Smt. Raje also launched the Global Centre of Excellence Campaign on the JDA website.

Present in the meeting were Principal Secretary IT&C Shri Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary Water Resources Shri Shikhar Agarwal, Secretary Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Shri T. Ravikant, Commissioner Jaipur Municipal Corporation Shri Ravi Jain, Commissioner Skill Development Shri Krishna Kunal, other senior officials and members of Cisco India Team.
