State Cabinet Meeting

The State Cabinet in its meeting held on Wednesday cleared the draft of ‘Rajasthan Out of Turn Appointment to Sports Medal Winners Rules, 2017‘. Various other decisions were also taken by the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje.

Briefing the media after the Cabinet Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore informed that this decision has been taken according to the budget announcement made by Chief Minister Smt. Raje in 2016-17 budget. He said Medal Winners of Olympic Games, Gold Medal Winners of Asian Games and Commonwealth Games will get direct recruitment in RAS/RPS and other state services. Silver and Bronze Medal winners of Asian and Commonwealth Games, Medal Winners and runners up of World Cup or World Championships, Medal winners or runners up in Asian Athletic Championship/ Commonwealth Games, Medal Winners of Para Olympics and sportspersons participated in Olympics after qualifying for Olympics to get recruitment in Subordinate Services.

Shri Rathore said Medal winners (senior category) in National Games, Medal winners or runners up in National Championship (senior) and sportspersons who participated in Para Olympics after qualifying will get direct recruitment in Ministerial Services.

The eligible sportspersons or medal winners will have to apply for the appointment within three years after winning the medal or achievements. The appointed sportspersons will have to complete the educational qualification prescribed under the service rules for the concerned post within five years after the appointment.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister informed that keeping in view the lack of specialist doctors in the state the Medical and Health Department has decided to tie-up with College of Physician/Surgeon, (CPS) Mumbai under which two year diploma and three year fellowship programme will be run in selected medical institutions to enhance the qualifications of doctors. 21 Diploma and 5 Fellowship programmes will be run in these selected institutions. Total seats for these specialist courses will be 266 out of which 50 percent will be for in-service doctors. The diploma/ fellowship certificate provided by the CPS, Mumbai will be registered in Rajasthan Medical Council and submitted in the office of Director (Public Health), Rajasthan for three years. After three years of service with the state government concerned doctor will get the diploma/fellowship certificate.

Shri Rathore informed that the state cabinet decided to amend the rule 7 of Rajasthan Tenancy (Government) Rules 1955. After the amendment the classification of pasture land shall not be changed as Sawai Chak for mining purposes without the prior permission of the state government. The permission shall be granted mining works on pasture land only if the applicant surrenders equal area of khatedari land in favour of the state government to be developed as pasture land in the same village or nearby village. The Gram Panchayat shall be provided development charges as Rs. 50,000 per Bigha. The Panchayat shall use this land for developing pastures.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister informed that the state cabinet also discussed the preparations for the divisional level ‘GRAM’ to be held in Kota from May 24 to 26. He informed that 27,000 farmers have registered for GRAM. It will have 32 seminars and 86 agricultural experts will provide tips to farmers to increase produce and income. He informed that progress of Nyay Aapke Dwar campaign and Shahri Jan Kalyan Shivirs was also discussed during the cabinet meet. He informed that in Nyay Aapke Dwar campaign 1620 camps have been organized and 1 Lac 84, 322 cases have been disposed including 723 cases related to pathway.

Shri Rathore informed that for the cutoff date for regularization of colonies set up on Sawai Chak and Agricultural land has been set till May 2, 2012. Earlier it was 1999. The Chief Minister has directed to fasten the work in these camps, he informed.
