Public Grievances Are Manuscripts Of Public Hope

Jaipur, June 27. The Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje said that redressal of public grievances was the top priority of the state government and ample measures had been taken for this purpose. She said that the process of public hearings would be strengthened and steps had already been taken in that direction. Sarkar Aapke Dwar campaign was the part of this initiative, she added.

During a public hearing at Taranagar in Churu district on Friday during the Government at Your Doorstep campaign, Smt. Raje said that she had a ‘zero tolerance’ for negligence while dealing with the complaints received from the general public. Every single memorandum would be scrutinized closely and relief would be extended to the person sitting at the tail end within a set time limit, she stated.

Referring to the complaints received during the public hearings, the CM said that these were not mere pieces of paper, but were important manuscripts of the people’s hope. During this hearing, she asked the officials to be sensitive towards the common and suggested for updation of land records by registering the changes in mutations. She also distributed cheques of relief amounts to several beneficiaries of different government schemes.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister changed her pre-scheduled visits in Hanumangarh and Churu districts and took to the new undecided routes to meet people, learn about their hardships, listen to grievances and offer resolutions. Wherever she went, the groups of people surrounded her convoy on the way, greeted her and told their problems to her. The CM listened to them intensely and warmly.

Smt. Raje left Hanumangarh for Churu and toured over a dozen villages in Nohar, Rawatsar, Sahwa and Taranagar regions where the people were standing in huge numbers on the way at main rural roads or village entry gates or crossings. Where ever the CM went, the villagers requested her to visit their villages. She stopped at all places where she witnessed the crowd on roadsides and conducted public hearings on the spot or at village chaupals.

In Rawatsar, the Chief Minister took stock of the problem of water-logging in the canal-irrigated regions. She talked to the farmers on this problem and also visited the main feeder of Indira Gandhi canal to inspect ongoing work of de-silting of the canal. She also went to a school and some fields affected by the problem of water-logging.The CM discussed the issue with the villagers, public representatives and officials for its resolution and issued appropriate directions. She suggested the farmers to adopt sprinkler or drip irrigation techniques for agriculture to counter the water-logging. New agricultural practices would lead to more water reaching the new fields in the command area of the canal, she stated.

Smt. Raje stopped at Kola, Lakhuwali Head, Rawatsar, Chaaiyan, Bhagwan, Thaladka, Bhukarka, Nohar, Dalpatapura, Durjana, Megana, Khopda, Sahwa villages to establish a dialogue with the villagers, listened to their problems and issued directions to resolve the same.

Amid her tour, the Chief Minister prayed at Gurudwara Sukkha Singh Mehtab Singh in Hanumangarh Town, Gurdwara Sahwa Sahib and Kandhal Deo temple in Sahwa. She visited Fatehgarh New Minor where cleaning works were going on at village Kola. She also reached the pump house and drain of water-logging eradication committee at Khetawali Dhani.

Smt. Raje talked to the villagers in Khoda village where she inspected the ongoing construction works for cross regulator on RD 109 minor and Chaudhari Kumbharam Arya Lift canal of the Indira Gandhi project.
