Govt. Committed to Develop State in Five Years

Jaipur, August 19. The Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje said that the  government was committed to develop the state as promised in the span of five years, not in five months. She said that we would definitely stand up to the expectations of the people but patience was required for that. The CM said that the time till now was invested in cleaning the system and now was the turn of development. Smt. Raje was addressing a public hearing camp, organized under the Government at your Doorstep Programme, at Sagwara in Dungarpur district on Tuesday.

3 out of 100 Rupees for development  

The CM said that development of the state faced several challenges as the government could only spend 3 out of 100 Rupees on development and remaining 97 percent of the money was going on salary, pension and on paying interest on loans.

Smt. Raje said the total income of the state was Rs. 55,594 crore.  About 97 percent of this amount i.e. Rs. 53,765 crore was being spent on salary, pension and on paying interest on loans..

Stay away from casteism for the development

The CM urged that for the development of Rajasthan we had to stay away from casteism, communalism at least for the next ten years. If the state could not develop, none of us could prosper ahead.

Public Representative or Collector: All are Public Servants

The CM said that Public Representatives, Collectors, Tehsildars and Patwaris, all had to do selfless service for speedy redressal of public grievances. If  the public was not happy, it meant that the government was also unhappy. She said that thousands of complaints were being received during public hearing camps which meant that system at the lower level was not working effectively.  The government was reaching to the village level under the ‘Government at your Doorstep’ Programme to improve this precarious system.

Smt. Raje said that government was running the ‘Government at your Doorstep’ Programme to make sure that the reasonable works of people be done in a time bound manner.  She said that this programme would be run in every division so that the people didn’t have to wait for unreasonably long time to get their works done. The CM assured the youth that the government had initiated the work to fulfill the promise of providing 15 lac job opportunities to them in 5 years.

In the Public Hearing Camp, the CM benefited eligible persons under Palanhar Scheme, Krishak Sathi Scheme, Scooty Distribution Scheme and several other social justice and welfare schemes. The CM distributed pattas and mutation right papers. She also enquired about the displaced people of the Mahi Project in Kanad and directed the District Collector to sit with the officers and concerned villagers to dispose their problems.

CM visits Maa Baadi Education Centre

The Chief Minister made sudden inspections on Tuesday also.  The CM visited the  Maa Baadi Primary Education Centre situated in the hilly area of Lolakpur Village. She affectionately talked to the children and ate the food cooked for them.

Smt. Raje asked a Class 3 student, Manoj, to read out a lesson ‘Chand ki Khatir’ from his textbook. She was very much impressed by the fluent reading ability of the student. The CM asked the children if they had learnt the multiplication tables, one student, Mukesh, replied that he had learnt the multiplication tables up to 13 and pronounced the tables fluently. Impressed with the dedication and learning ability of the children, she distributed toffees to them.

The CM enquired about the health check up of the children and directed the District Collector to make arrangements for regular health check-up of the children. She expressed satisfaction after inspecting the attendance register and other record books of the centre.

Smt. Raje talked to the tribal people, especially women, about their daily life, work and employment. She also visited their huts and got photographed with them.

Tribal people happy to see the CM for the first time in life

The villagers living in the huts scattered in this distant hilly area were pleasantly surprised, when the CM, on her way to Sagwara from Dungarpur, suddenly made a visit to their villages.

Smt. Raje visited the villagers living in Lolakpur Gram Panchayat and talked about their life. Udaylal Rot (60), Hauji Rot (62) and Pari Devi (55) told the CM that they had seen a Chief Minister for the first times in their lives. They said that no other public servant had ever visited them and they could not believe that the CM herself had made a visit to their place.

CM orders strict action in misappropriation case

The Chief Minister  caught a case of misappropriation of funds in Indira Awas Yojana during her visit to Dharti Mata Village in Heerata Gram Panchayat of Dungarpur District on Tuesday.

While making sudden inspection of this village situated on Sagwara- Dungarpur Road, Smt. Raje found that a person had constructed a room with 50 thousand rupees granted under Indira Awas Yojana to safeguard her private boring from theft.

Taking serious note of the matter, the CM ordered to take strict action against the officers responsible for appropriating funds under the IAY scheme for this construction.

Orders to make plan for increasing height of dam

On hearing demands from the villagers of Heerata Gram Panchayat, Smt. Raje gave directions to the District Collector to make a plan for increasing the height of the Kandiwala Naka Dam. She said that raising the capacity of the dam would benefit the farmers by increasing the irrigated area.

Inspection of Dimiya Dam

The CM inspected the Dimiya Dam situated in the hilly area of the tribal region. She also took information from the officers and villagers about the now defunct lift irrigation project. The Villagers told the project was shut down due to high electricity bills. Smt. Raje said that the villagers should take full advantage of the government schemes and even if some amount was required to be deposited, villagers should contribute in a planned manner to make the scheme continue.

CM receives warm welcome at many places

The Chief Minister was welcomed warmly by the villagers at Doja, Antri, Verda and Tamatia and many other places on her way from Sagwara to Dungarpur.
