Pregnant BPL women to get 3 litre deshi ghee at the time of ANC between fourth to sixth months of pregnancy

Important Decision of State Cabinet

The State Cabinet in its meeting decided that the five liter Desi Ghee being provided to BPL women after first institutional delivery will now be provided in two parts. Three liter ghee will be given to the pregnant woman after the first ANC and the remaining 2 liter will be given at the time of discharge after delivery. The cabinet also gave approval to the proposal related to amendment in Biomass Energy Policy – 2010 and proposal related to double the special pay of STF officers and jawans.

Talking to media persons after the cabinet meeting Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore informed that the decision to provide 3 liter Desi Ghee at the time of ANC will help in improving maternal nutrition in pregnancy and lactation period of pregnant BPL women. The pregnant BPL women to get coupon of 3 liter Ghee after check up between fourth to sixth months of pregnancy. In the beginning the scheme will be run as a pilot project in Tonk, Dholpur, Churu, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhnu, Baran and Banswara districts.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister informed that to promote the alternative energy the State Cabinet has decided to amend the Biomass Energy Policy – 2010. He informed that it has been decided to amend the existing sub clause 15.1.2 of the policy and replace by proposed clause in which provision has been made that the power producer will have to complete the finalization of land, power evacuation plan and availability of water within 8 months of issuing of registration number for the project instead of four months. After amendment in existing sub clause 15.2 of the policy by the proposed clause provision will be made that the power producer shall have to commission the Biomass Power Project within 36 months from the date of approval of the project instead of 24 months. If the project is not commissioned after 36 months the depositing penalty amount per megawatt will be Rs. 25,000 for delay up to 3 months, Rs. 50,000 for delay up to 6 months, Rs. 75,000 for delay up to 9 months, Rs. one lakh for delay up to 15 months and Rs. 1.25 lakh for delay up to 24 months. According to the proposed sub clause 17.9.2 the 65% of the fuel cost prescribed by RREC shall be taken as cost towards cutting/uprooting, loading/unloading and transporting from plantation site instead of 40% as was in existing clause.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister informed that the cabinet also cleared the proposal to double the special pay of STF officers and jawans. Now STF Assistant Commandant to get Rs. 300, Company Commander to get Rs. 200, Platoon Commander to get Rs. 120, Head Constable to get Rs. 100 and Constable to get Rs. 80 as special pay. It was also decided that by amending the rule 16 of Rajasthan Civil Service (Medical Attendance) Rules 2013 it has been provised that in case of emergency or non-availability/closing of Co-operative shop, medicines up to Rs. 1000 instead of Rs. 500 can be purchased from private shop.

The cabinet also reviewed Nyay Aapke Dwar and Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan and found the progress as satisfactory. During the Nyay Aapke Dwar Abhiyan 2 lakh 13 thousand cases have been disposed till now.
