We didn’t make an excuse of empty coffers for development
Foundation Laying and Inauguration of Works Worth Rs. 467 Crore
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the state government’s policy is inclusive and ensures development for all. She said that we didn’t make an excuse of empty coffers and continued on our agenda for development.
“When we took over there were many challenges ahead, but we withstood against all odds. From the lower ranks, we have brought the state in the leading row,” she said.
Smt. Raje was addressing a huge gathering at Tanawada in Jodhpur on Sunday after laying foundation stones and dedicating various development projects worth Rs. 467 crore to public. During her two-day Jodhpur visit, the CM laid foundations and inaugurated 14 development works costing Rs. 762 crore.
The Chief Minister said that being a woman, she handled the state as a family and she would never allow anybody put the state’s honor at stake. Despite debt of Rs. 2 lakh crore in Rajasthan, various financial management initiatives resulted in high respect of the state in the country and the world. Through financial management, we ensured that there was no shortage of money for development works, she added.
Smt. Raje laid the foundation stone of a project under Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana Phase II for construction of 7580 houses at Tanawada for the weaker section of the society. She said that there could be no joy greater than making the poor’s dream of house a reality. Under this project, 7580 houses would be built by Jodhpur Development Authority at Tanawada, Lordi Punditji and Chokha villages with an approximate cost of Rs. 363 crore.
The Chief Minister also dedicated the Stockman Training Institute building to public at Ratanda. The building constructed with a cost of Rs. 4 crore will be used to provide training of advanced animal husbandry techniques. She said that raising the standard of life of the farmers and stockmen was the government’s priority.
Smt. Raje further laid the foundation stone of sewerage line at Ratanada Air Force area under AMRUT scheme. This would upgrade the region’s 40-year-old sewer lines.
The Chief Minister also dedicated the BSc Nursing College building and medical college staff residential quarters in MDM hospital premises. In MDM Hospital, Smt. Raje met the people injured in Barmer accident and directed doctors to offer adequate care and treatment to these people.
Smt. Raje visited Bada Ramdwara and offered prayers for well-being and happiness of the people of the state. She stayed there for about an hour and sought blessings from Ramsnehi Saint Sri Ramprasadji and other saints. She also dedicated the gateway and saint’s residence at Bada Ramdwara.

Choudhary, UDH Minister Shri Srichand Kriplani, Forest Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Minister of State for Revenue Shri Amraram, Minister of State for TAD Smt. Kamsa Meghwal, other ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Chairmen of various Commissions or Boards, other public representatives and officers were present on this occasion.
