NEPAL SAYS, ‘THANK YOU TEAM RAJASTHAN’, Rastriya Prajatantra Party President Writes Letter to CM

The people of Nepal have expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje and the people of Rajasthan for the timely help provided by Team Rajasthan in the wake of devastating earthquake in Nepal. The efforts made by the CM Smt. Raje and relief teams sent by the state government are being applauded by the people of Nepal through the letter and phone calls.

Shri Pashupati Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, president of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), the major political party of Nepal, wrote a letter to the Chief Minister and said that the people of Nepal were thankful for timely help provided by Rajasthan in the moment of crisis. Shri Rana also commended the efforts made by the relief teams from the state.

Relief Teams Returned, Meet CM:

The relief teams headed by Principal Secretary Rural Development Shri Shreemat Pandey and Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry Shri Rajeshwar Singh returned to Jaipur and met Smt. Raje. The Chief Minister congratulated members of both the teams for the relief and rescue operations they carried out successfully.

The teams informed the CM about rescue, relief and evacuation operations in Nepal. The team headed by Shri Shreemat Pandey comprised of ADG Police Shri Umesh Mishra, Director Finance RREC Shri Sandeep Chouhan, Joint Secretary Rural Development Shri Ujjawal Rathore and other officials. Second team headed by Shri Rajeshwar Singh comprised of IPS Shri Vikas Pathak, Additional Commissioners Transport Shri O.P. Gupta and Shri Mulkraj, Chief Manager Deluxe Depot of RSRTC Shri Ravi Soni and Executive Manager Store of RSRTC Shri Khemchand also helped in transportation of the people evacuated from Nepal.

Following instructions from Chief Minister Smt. Raje in her first meeting, two teams were immediately rushed to Nepal. Trucks loaded with relief material were also sent to the quake-hit country. People belonging to Rajasthan were evacuated from the earthquake-affected regions, provided food, lodging and boarding facility at Rajasthan House in New Delhi and were sent to their hometowns by RSRTC buses free-of-cost.
