Team Rajasthan joins Team India to realize dream of New Rajasthan

Jaipur, December 13. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that Team Rajasthan is progressing along with Team India in the direction of restructuring Rajasthan and thus realize the dream of overall development of the state. She called upon the 7 crore population of the state to join hands for progress and prosperity of the state. “When the state will progress, the nation will progress,” she added.

Smt. Raje was addressing a huge public rally at Janpath near State Assembly on Saturday on the occasion of first anniversary of her assuming office in the government. She said that her government had a vision of winning everybody’s trust and had a target of progress and development of all. She added that the state government was committed for prosperity of all caste and creed with the basic mantra of development. The government would not lose the trust of the public and fulfill all its commitments.

The Chief Minister said that out of 365 days in a year, her government effectively got only 151 days to work because of model code of conduct, holidays and other limitations. “We attempted to lay a new foundation of developing during this tenure. But, it is surprising that those people who never responded to the public during their 53 years’ tenure in government are asking us on what we did,” she said.

Talking about her government’s tour to three divisions of Bharatpur, Bikaner and Udaipur during the Sarkar Aapke Dwar, Government at Your Doorstep, campaign Smt. Raje said that it was a meaningful attempt to connect with 2.5 crore people and resolve their grievances. She said that after independence it was the first time that a state government reached the people to share their woes. In coming days, extensive tour of rest of the divisions in the state too would be done. Pending works of the already toured three divisions too would be disposed very soon, she added. For effective monitoring of public grievances and their speedy redressal Rajasthan Sampark Portal too had been developed.

The CM said that to realize the dream of industrial revolution in the state, the government launched a new Rajasthan Investment Promotion Policy- 2014. “To increase private investment, a mega Resurgent Rajasthan-2015 event too is being organised, she said. The government is expecting investment worth several thousand crores during this event.

Reiterating her promise of 15 lakh employment opportunities for the youth of the state Smt. Raje said that during this year, 40,000 young people have been inducted with skill development. In next 4 years, six lakh youth would join this programme. Within a month skill development centres would be established in 27 districts.

The CM countered the allegations that her government blocked the free-medicine scheme had been stopped. Instead her government increased the budget for this scheme, she said. “During the previous government budget for this scheme was Rs 255 crore, which has now increased to Rs. 298 crore,” the CM said.

Smt. Raje said that for setting-up seven new medical colleges in Alwar, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Churu, Dungarpur and Pali MoU was signed with the Government of India. Also, 1,100 new seats too have been increased in the existing medical colleges in the state. Eligible families would also be given the benefit of health insurance.

The Chief Minister said that her government had resolved the issue of Prithvi Raj Nagar, which remained pending for 23 years. Camps for allotment of pattas are being organized and this process had been completed for 30-odd colonies. Also, the previous government left the Ring Road project for Jaipur unheeded for six long years. Our government pacified all the parties and secured possession of land for 47-kilometer long stretch of the ring road.
While addressing the public rally, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari said that Smt. Raje made serious attempts to remove the obstacles in different development projects. She shared details of stalled road projects in the state and the grievance being faced by the public. She demanded for early completion of the Delhi-Jaipur Highway which was congested for over eight months. After receiving her demand, the Union government constructed 46 flyovers on Delhi-Jaipur Highway during past five years and restarted the pending works. He assured the gathering that construction works on this highway would be completed and it would be dedicated in public service by June 2015. He also extended support of the central government to Rajasthan for running vehicles with bio-fuel for keeping Rajasthan pollution-free.

Shri Gadkari said that the Union Government was introducing a corruption-free transparent system of governance. Process of issuing permit for vehicles and driving licenses was being made online. He added that 10,000 driving centres would be opened in the state where computerized driving tests would be conducted.

The Union Minister of State for Energy Shri Piyush Goyal stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi wished Rajasthan to become the top solar power producing state given favourable climatic situation. He said that through Deendayal Upadhyay Gramjyoti Scheme envisaged by the PM Modi every village, every habitat and every household would be given power connection. He also talked about Integrated Power Development Scheme and stated that both these scheme would prove beneficial for the state.

The Energy Minister informed that the Coal Mines Special Provisions Bill had already been passed in the Lok Sabha and would now be introduced in the Rajya Sabha. Once this bill became an Act, the union government would ensure that the cancelled coal blocks were re-allocated to the state.
Shri Goyal said that during past five months’ tenure of the central government, inflation had registered a record decline. Petrol prices were decreased by Rs. 10 and diesel rates were down by Rs 6 per liter. This benefited the public directly. Also, the Union government restarted the process of repayment of provident funds worth Rs 27 crores to the public.

The Union Energy Minister appreciated Chief Minister Smt. Raje and her Council of Ministers that they visited the doorstep of the general public to listen to their grievances. “She is the first CM in the country who was reaching to the people to make their lives easy,” she said.
