Visionary thinking and reform initiatives have given pace to the development
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the reform initiatives, new policies and various steps taken by the state government have accelerated the pace of development in the state. She said the state is moving ahead with focusing on sectors like health, education, skill development, tourism, urban development, energy, industry, agriculture and mining.
Smt. Raje was addressing the opening session of the second meeting of Chief Minister’s Advisory Council here at Chief Minister’s office on Monday. She said based on the suggestions and the inputs given by the members of the Council during the first meeting of the Council held on 10th August, 2014, a road map for the development was prepared and the government took many steps in this direction.
The Chief Minister said some good ideas were generated during the brain storming sessions in the last meeting of the Council. Recommendations of the Council and various sub-groups helped in many ways to take decisions like repealing of 247 Acts, Amendments in RTE, reforms in PDS, labour reforms, PPP in medical and health sector have been taken up. New policies have been introduced in Solar Energy, Tourism and Mining sector along with efforts being made for leveraging PPP in infrastructure and development of ease of doing business in the state, she added. Now the meeting of Chief Minister’s Advisory Council will be held on regular interval, she said.
Secretary, Planning Shri Akhil Arora gave presentation on status of major recommendations of the first meeting of CM Advisory Council and Executive Committee meeting. He informed that total 121 recommendations were made out of which 60 have been implemented while implementation on remaining 61 is under progress. He said MoUs have been signed for Bhamashah Health Insurance Scheme, Telemedicine and Skill Development. He said for skill up-gradation MoUs have been signed with prestigious companies like ITEES Singapore, Toyota, Samsung, Cairn and Caterpillar. Chief Minister’s Jan Awas Yojana and Agro Processing Policy are being given final shape, he informed.
Presentation was also given on the recommendations of various sub-groups and their implementations after the first meeting. Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments gave presentation including Bhamashah Scheme, Annapurna Bhandar Scheme, Resurgent Rajasthan, urban development, education, PWD, Power, Water Resources, Tourism, Agriculture, Medical & Health and Industry etc.
In the beginning Chief Secretary Shri C. S. Rajan welcomed the guests and presented the layout of the Conference. Members of the Council of Ministers, members of CM Advisory Council and senior officials of various departments were present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister and members of the CM Advisory Council saw live demo of Bhamashah scheme at the special counters of established by the Dept. of Information Technology at CMO.
