Revenue Lok Adalat Campaign To Be Held Between May 18 and July 15

The State Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday at the CMO took several important decisions.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore said that over 4 lakh cases were pending in the revenue courts across the state, of which 87 percent cases were at the sub-division level. In view of this, the state government decided to have a campaign Nyay Aapke Dwar 2015 (Justice At Your Doorstep) between May 18 and July 15. During this, Revenue Lok Adalats would be organized to dispose of cases through mutual consent of the contesting parties. All Ministers in-charge of the districts would launch this campaign in their respective districts. The Lok Adalats would start from May 18, targeting disposal of about 1.5 lakh cases during this campaign period.

The Minister said that the state government had sent two teams of senior officers led by Shri Shreemat Pande and Shri Rajeshwar Singh to Nepal in the wake of earthquake tragedy. These teams reached various locations in different districts and did commendable job for evacuation of Rajasthanis trapped in the calamity and delivery of relief materials to the victims. The State Cabinet applauded the services of these teams and decided that in future also the state government would take immediate steps for rescue and relief operations in any calamity. The Council of Ministers further expressed worries about the fresh tremors felt in Nepal and northern states of India on Tuesday.

Shri Rathore further said that the State Cabinet also decided to lift ban on transfers of state government employees between May 15 and June 15. However, the officers of revenue department would be affected by this decision in the wake of the Lok Adalat campaign. The Cabinet also decided to hike the remuneration paid to officers and employees under probation by 10 percent. About 40,000 probationers would be benefited by this decision.

Drafts of the Rajasthan Mining Policy 2015, the Rajasthan Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Policy 2015 and the Rajasthan Tourism Unit Policy 2015 were also presented in the meeting, he said. The Minister added that the Cabinet further decided to change names of five government colleges in different districts. New names of these colleges would be Shahid Captain Ripudaman Singh Government College, Sawai Madhopur; Shri Sant Sundardas Government Girls College, Dausa; Smt. Madibai Mirdha Government Girls College, Nagaur; Baba Vishambhardas Government Girls College, Hod (Khandela), Sikar; and Baba Narayandas Government Science And Commerce College, Chimanpura.
