New Journey Of Industrial Development Kicks Off In State

Jaipur, November 14. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje stated that Rajasthan has embarked on the path of industrial development, and the state government sees investors as co-travellers in this journey.

Smt. Raje was addressing a gathering on the occasion of inauguration of JCB India’s manufacturing plant at Mahindra World City Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the RIICO Industrial Area, Bagru near Jaipur on Friday. Referring to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Make In India’ campaign the CM said that his ideas, out-of-box thinking and innovative thoughts were opening new avenues for investment in the country. The state government was also committed to extend all facilities to the investors here, she stated.

Smt. Raje said that during her previous tenure as the CM she invited Mahindra Group to set-up the SEZ and made land available for it. The World City was established in a record time and the investment milieu changed for the entire state. Prior to this, the investors were reluctant to put in their money as the entire atmosphere was inhospitable. After setting up of the SEZ, majors like Infosys and Wipro invested here followed by other major firms.

Expressing her belief that “Today is about the Future” the CM said that her government was focusing on the young generation. “Efforts are being made for their skill development. We have promised to made employment opportunities available to 15 lakh young men and women in the state in next five years,” she said. She added that 40 renowned companies of the country have initiated to support the state government for this. These efforts would result in availability of skilled human resources to the investors. For high-level technical training and honing employable skills of the youth, her government would be take support from institutes of other countries as well. Very soon ITI, Udaipur be developed into a centre of excellence with support from ITE Singapore. Smt. Raje also praised the entrepreneurial skills of the people from Rajasthan.

Chairman of JCB Group Lord Bamford, British High Commissioner to India Shri James David Bevan, CEO and MD of JCB India Shri Vipin Sondhi and Executive Vice President JCB India Shri Sudheer Chaudhary also addressed the gathering.

Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Shri Rajyavarddhan Singh Rathore, Member of Parliament Shri Ramcharan Bohra, MLA Shri Kailash Verma, Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) to the Government of India Shri Amitabh Kant, Chairman of JCB Advisory Board Shri Tarun Das, Chairman of Godrej Group Shri Adi Godrej, CEO of JCB Group Shri Grame Macdonald, Shri Arvind Singh Mewar, other government officials and investors were also present on this occasion.
