Allegations of shortage of funds with the government are untrue; sufficient funds available

Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister, Rajasthan on Monday, while answering to the debate on the budget 2016-2017 said that the allegations that only Rs. 50 Cr. are available with the government in its account was a blatant lie, aimed at disinformation and to foster unrest. Countering the allegations by the opposition that only Rs. 50 Cr. cash was available. She assured that the government has sufficient cash with it and condemned such distorted claims and asked the opposition to do their homework prior to making such a claim.

Smt. Raje informed the house that other than the balance in the current account with the RBI, the cash balance in hand is also accounted for. As on 31st March 2015 apart from Rs. 50.86 Cr. in the current account, finances of more than Rs. 7600 Cr. are also available with the government. She went on to present the abstract of cash balances with the government since 2009-2010
