Behaviour Of Opposition Was Against Parliamentary Traditions
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the Opposition’s behaviour in the Assembly house on Tuesday was against the Parliamentary traditions and thus would be read as a black chapter in the history of the State Assembly.
Smt. Raje said that the Opposition was expected to attract attention of the people through logical debates in the house on decisions of the state government. Rajasthan Assembly was one of the selected Houses having a dignified place in the Parliamentary history of the country. This is the House, from where a person like Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat rose to the reigns and become the Vice President of India.
The CM said that 42 members of the House participated in the debate on Governor’s Speech which lasted for four days. “I gave a positive thought to the suggestions from all such members, but behaviour of the house members today was disheartening,” she said.
Smt. Raje said that she still expected for a creative and positive support from the Opposition and was willing to give honour and strength to the second pillar of the democracy. “We believe in taking healthy traditions forward,” the CM added.
