Efforts should be made to bring actual investment on ground
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that more efforts are required to bring investment in the state and we need solid proposals during the Resurgent Rajasthan Summit which can actually be converted into real ivestment and the state can be benefitted. She said that Rajasthan would not compete with any other state through this Summit, but would compete with the previous Resurgent Rajasthan Conclave held 8 years ago.
Smt. Raje was addressing the meeting held to discuss preparations of the Summit at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. The proposed investment proposals of 15 departments were discussed during the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that the departments should prepare practical proposals which were in the interest of the state and could attract investors. She asked the ministers to coordinate with their counterpart Union Ministers to bring in more investment involving their respective ministries. She also asked her colleagues to hold meetings and discussions with the Union Ministers in order to seek support for the Summit.
Smt. Raje directed the state officials of to complete the drafts of proposed new policies and proposed changes in the existing policies and ease in procedures as soon as possible. She asked to complete all the preparations till the end of July, so that the Summit programme could be given final shape in next three months.
Proposals of 11 international and 9 national roadshows, which are proposed to start in April, were also discussed in the meeting. Roadshows will be organized in Japan and Germany in the month of April itself. At international level roadshows are being planned to be organised in the UK, South Korea, USA, Malaysia, Brazil, UAE, Israel, China and Netherlands as well. Nationally, roadshows will be organised in Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Delhi-Gurgaon, Bangaluru, Mumbai and Indore and the ministers of various departments will participate in these roadshows.
Chief Secretary Shri C.S. Rajan informed about the preparations made till date for the Summit. He said that the Embassies and the High Commissioners of different countries where roadshows are proposed have been contacted and the final programme of the roadshows would be prepared soon. He also informed about the progresss of the proposed drafts of various new policies.
Principal Secretary, Industry Smt. Veenu Gupta gave presentation about the roadshows and other activities of the Summit. Additional Chief Secrtary, Principal Secretary and Secretary of their concerned departments gave presentations about the proposals and investment opportunities during the Resurgent Rajasthan Summit.
Industry Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khimvsar, Higher Education Minister Shri Kalicharan Sarraf, Medical & Health Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore, PWD Minister Shri Yunus Khan, UDH Minister Shri Rajpal Singh Shekhawat, Water Resources Minister Smt. Kiran Maheshwari, Agriculture Minister Shri Prabhu Lal Saini, Minister of State for Labour & Employment Shri Surendra Pal Singh, Minister of State for Revenue Shri Amra Ram, Minister of State for Energy Shri Pushpendra Singh, Minister of State for Forest & Mines Shri Rajkumar Rinwa and the Minister of State for Tourism Smt. Krishnendra Kaur Deepa were present in the meeting.
