Important tourist cities of Rajasthan need to be connected with air services
CM meets Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje met Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Shri Jayant Sinha on Thursday in New Delhi and requested that important tourist cities of Rajasthan need to be connected with air services.
Smt. Raje said every district of Rajasthan has air strip and these air strips need to be connected with small air services with ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’ flights under ‘UDAN’ Yojana.
The Chief Minister also requested that new air services need to be started and services closed earlier started again for tourism circuits and Jaipur to be connected with more international flights, she said. She also requested that Jaipur Airport need to be provided with better facilities to deal with increasing passenger load.
Smt. Raje during the meeting said Airports Authority of India should provide land near state hanger for VIP terminal at Sanganer airport Jaipur. She also requested to take initiative according to bilateral agreement to run flights of Emirates Air Lines between Jaipur and UAE.
The Chief Minister requested to the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation that NOC should not be issued by AAI for the construction of highrise buildings in adjacent areas of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur airport. If in any special circumstances NOC is given the local administration should be informed about it so that all aspects of security could be kept in mind, she said.
