Rajasthan Will Be Intellectual Capital of India
Festival of Education to be held in Jaipur in April 2017
The Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that very soon Rajasthan would become intellectual capital of the country in the field of education. She said that in a first of its kind event in the country a two-day Jaipur Festival of Education would be held in April 2017. This event aimed at making the people of Rajasthan face-to-face with global scenario and opportunities in education sector.
Smt. Raje was addressing the curtain raiser programme for the Jaipur Festival of Education at hotel Hyat Residency in New Delhi on Monday. She said that this event would be organized in collaboration with GEMS Education Foundation. “The idea of this event is to make our new generation realize their dreams, hone their skills and creativity and strength their confidence, so that they could get better employment opportunities in any part of the world,” she said.
The CM said that Rajasthan was emerging as education hub in the country. She said that about 60 percent young population of the state had potential to take on the world. The state government and educational institutes were continuously working to provide the new generation quality education. She said that improvement in educational activities, administrative and management reforms had been initiated to redress the problems faced by educationists.
Smt. Raje said that Jaipur Festival of Education was one such step to revolutionize education sector. She said that after Jaipur, this event would be taken to all divisional headquarters of the state. She said that the state government was modernizing the education system in Rajasthan with full utilization of its limited resources and improving upon the shortcomings. Public-Private-Partnership was also being promoted for speeding up educational reforms, she added.
During the event students of GEMS International School preformed cultural events. The CM also released logo of the Jaipur Festival of Education.
State Minister of Education Shri Vasudev Devnani, Group Chairman of GEMS Foundation Shri Ambarish Chandra, MP Shri Dushyan Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Education Shri Rajhans Upadhyay. Secretary Education Shri Nareshpal Gangawar, Commissioner Education Shri Jogaram, Director Primary Education Shri PC Kishen and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
