Refurbishment (Conservation & restoration) works at Moosi Maharani ki Chatari, Alwar. Estimated cost: Rs 99.61 lacs

Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri at Alwar was built by Vinay Singh in the memory of Alwar’s ruler, Maharaja Bakhtawar Singh and his queen, Rani Moosi.  This beautiful cenotaph shelters the tomb of the king and the queen and the entire chhatri is supported by pillared sandstone. Refurbishment, Conservation & restoration works here are being done by the government of Rajasthan with as estimated investment of 99.61 lakh rupees. Along with this, the government has also undertaken transformation and renovation work of various other significant tourist destinations like Sagar Alwar, Virat Nagar and Fateh Jung Gumbad with an expense of 148.33 lakhs, 33.67 lakhs and 58.63 lakhs respectively. These major tourist destinations were dilapidating because of disregard by the previous government.
