Reception hosted by Indian Business and Professional Council in Dubai

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje invited the members of Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) in Dubai to join Rajasthan’s journey to growth and development. She was addressing the reception hosted by IBPC at hotel Taz in Dubai on Saturday evening.

Smt. Raje said the United Arab Emirates is important to India. India has been having good relations with UAE of late and our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to the Emirates was indicative of how vital the India-UAE relation are from the aspect of peace and stability in Asia.

The Chief Minister said UAE is home to Indian expatriate community of more than 2.6 million. The Indian community has also adapted itself well here with change in economy as it changed from high dependence on revenues from the oil industry to tourism and other sectors. All recognize the valuable contribution Indian community has made in development of UAE.

Smt. Raje said Real Estate and Tourism happens to be key drivers for UAE as well as Rajasthan and will remain so in times to come. She appealed the Indians to productively use expertise and economic might to make investments in Rajasthan to create a win-win situation. She further said there are 900 direct flights per week between various destinations of India and the UAE. Five airlines have direct flight between Jaipur and UAE. This makes doing business in both UAE and Rajasthan easier than ever before.

She said Rajasthan Government not just offers incentives but partnerships that aim at growth and prosperity. We believe if businesses grow, jobs are created, revenues are generated and at the end of it, the happiness quotient of the people go up.

‘In course of my visit, I have had a wide range of discussions with senior members of the UAE leadership as well as with others, on matters related to tourism promotion (especially Medical Tourism), heritage conservation, regional air connectivity, wildlife conservation and infrastructure creation – physical and social, she said. ‘I look forward to taking these discussions forward so that a difference in these sectors can be seen on the ground,’ she added.

The Chief Minister said, we have already received few serious investment proposals during our brief stay here and look forward to more active involvement of the members of IBPC in becoming partners in changing the face of Rajasthan.

‘I am sure, IBPC recognizes the opportunity and is all geared up to walk hand in hand with us in the journey of growth and development’, she said.
