BSE Training Centre To Set-up At Jaipur
MOU Signed In Presence Of Chief Minister
Jaipur, January 16. In a bid to promote financial literacy, banking and insurance skills and entrepreneurship in Rajasthan, an institute of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will establish a Centre of Excellence at Jaipur. For this, an MOU was signed between the Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC) and BSE Institute Limited (BIL) in the presence of Chief Minister Smt Vasundhara Raje at the CMO on Friday.
Managing Director of RSLDC Shri Gaurav Goyal and the MD & CEO of the BSE institute Shri Ambarish Datta signed the MoU.
On this occasion, the CM said that everybody should have a working knowledge of finances, budget, accountancy etc, although nobody had this. Thus, it was important to have the BSE training institute. She asked the institute officials to have a time-bound programme for this startup. She said that this institute would also benefit the entrepreneurs looking for investment opportunities in Rajasthan.
As per the MoU, the BSE Centre would offer courses on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and related subjects. Pilot skills courses on KPO etc would also be proposed. Also, a satellite centre of the institute would be established in Kota.
RSLDC MD Shri Goyal said that the BSE Institute had expertise in financial skills and the youth opting to the courses offered by this would have opportunities for employment in stock exchanges, banking, insurance and accountancy sectors. Later on a full-fledged branch of the BSE Institute would also be established in Jaipur. “With the BSE institute, Jaipur will be a hotspot of innovation, incubation and enterprise,” he said.
CEO of BSE Shri Datta said that financial literacy was an important need for all businesses as well as in daily life of the people. Expressing delight on the signing of MoU with the state government, he said that this would benefit a large section of the society including entrepreneurs, students, teachers and the common public. He said that the centre would start its operations very soon and the courses with guaranteed employment in banking sector would be available for students from this academic the session 2014-15 itself.
Chief Secretary Shri CS Rajan, Labour Secretary Shri Rajat Mishra and other officers were present on this occasion.
