International Agri experts to be key speakers in ‘GRAM’

The forthcoming 3 day Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) in the city will see the participation of International Agri Experts from across the globe as well as eminent national speakers as key speakers in the seminars during the event. Seminars on diverse topics such as ‘Sustainable Agriculture: Towards an evergreen revolution’; ‘Innovative Agriculture: Leveraging the technology frontiers’; ‘Water Use Efficiency in Agriculture’; ‘Value Addition & Marketing Solutions for New Age Agiculture’; ‘Dairy and Sustainable Livelihood through Animal Husbandry’, ‘Opportunities for Agri Tourism in Rajasthan’ and Agri Innovation at grassroot Level’, among others will be one of the major highlights of the event.

In the session on ‘Sustainable Agriculture: Towards an evergreen revolution’ on 9 November, Practice Manager – South Asia, World Bank, USA, Mr. Martein Van Nieuwkoops will speak on the topic ‘Sustainable Solutions for Future Farming’.

This will be followed by a session on ‘Innovative Agriculture: Leveraging the Technology Frontiers’ in which Principal Research Fellow, Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Serbia, Dr. Vladimir Miklic will share his insight on the topic ‘Seed Technology’. The issue of Climate Change and Solutions in Agriculture will be addressed by Manager International, Cooperation Asia, Wageningen University, Netherlands, Dr. Arjo Rothuis. The ‘Use of Robotics in Agriculture’ will be highlighted by Head of Engineering Research, National Centre for Precision Farming, Harper Adams University, United Kingdom, Dr. Richard Green. International Olive Expert, Aridland Crop Ltd., Israel, Mr. Yuval Chen will speak on technologies related to olive cultivation in this session.

Director, Primary Industries, Animal & Laboratory Science, South Australia, Ms. Ann Beacham will participate as key speaker in the session ‘Dairy and Sustainable Livelihood through Animal Husbandry’.

Another interesting topic to be discussed will be Agri Innovations at grassroot level and well known Indian speakers will be sharing their knowledge on the subject. VC, Rajasthan Ayurvedic University, Dr. R S Sharmal; Professor and Principal Scientist (Agrl. Extn), National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Dr S Senthil Vinayagam; Mr. Kailash Chand and Mr. Om Prakash Patidar will be speaking on the topic.

Some eminent national speakers like Infosys Chair Professor, ICRIER, Dr. Ashok Gulati; Sr. Practise Head, Tata Strategies Management Group, Mr. Manish Panchal; Director, Irrigation Association of India, Mr. Arijit Sengupta; Chief General Manager, NABARD, Ms. Sarita Arora; Visiting Senior Fellow, ICRIER, Dr. Siraj Hussain; Managing Director, Rabo Bank, Mr. Rajesh Srivastava; Principal Scientist & Head Diary Engineering, National Dairy Research Institute, Dr. A.K. Singh, among others will also be participating in the seminars during GRAM.

It is to be recalled that the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) will be held from 9 November to 11 November at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center, Sitapura in Jaipur. It is being jointly organized by Government of Rajasthan and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

About ‘Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet 2016’ (GRAM):

The ‘GRAM’ is an international event which is being from 9 to 11 November at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC) at Sitapura in Jaipur.
