Ensure better implementation of tourism schemes
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje asked the officials of Tourism department to ensure better implementation of tourism schemes in Rajasthan, so that the state could emerge as a major tourism hub on the world map. She directed the officials to focus on major publicity campaign of the places of tourists’ attraction in the state.
Smt. Raje was addressing a review meeting of the Tourism, Art & Culture department at the Chief Minister Residence on Thursday. She expressed satisfaction over ongoing renovation projects of forts and museums in the state and directed for detailed project reports for major development and renovation works at Jodhpur and Ajmer museums.
The CM asked for speeding up development works at different tourism circuits under the Swadesh and Prasad schemes. She asked for opening of Tribal Arts Museum at Gangauri Bazaar in Jaipur. She asked for ensuring quality in conservation works of Bikaner Archives Museum. Modern techniques should be utilized for conservation of documents and records of historical importance kept therein, she said.
Smt. Raje said that the new publicity campaign of the Tourism department received good response from different sectors and now this campaign should be intensified effectively so that the tourism market of Rajasthan was promoted worldwide.
Minister of State for Tourism Smt. Krishnanendra Kaur Deepa, Members of Chief Minister Advisory Council Smt. Meera Mehrishi and Malvika Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Shri NC Goyal, Secretary Tourism Smt. Roli Singh, Commissioner Tourism Shri Ashutosh AT Pendnekar and senior officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
