Resurgent Rajasthan conference to help in strengthening the ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ programme
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhrara Raje has said that the Resurgent Rajasthan Conference-2015 being organised at Jaipur on 19-20 November will not only give pace to the investment in Rajasthan and but also help in strengthening the ‘Make in India’ programme.
Smt. Raje said this during her meeting with Union External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi on Monday.
The Chief Minister said Rajasthan has taken numerous policy initiatives to invite global and domestic investment to the state. The state is repository of natural resources as well as highly skilled human resource that will be as asset for any industry, she said.
Smt. Raje said the state government is promoting industrial investment in the state and has initiated policy reforms and investment facilitation measures. She said Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS)-2014 has provided a bucket of incentives to the investors investing in Rajasthan. Recently released New Tourism Policy and Mining Policy shall also yield positive results in the near future, she said.
The Chief Minister said around 40% part of the Delhi-Mumbai Dedicated Freight Corridor will pass through Rajasthan. The Corridor will provide access to a ready captive market for the business and industries.
Smt. Raje informed the Union External Affairs Minister about the efforts being made to promote foreign investment in Rajasthan. She said meeting the diplomatic community is a part of the outreach to the global community. The Chief Minister said she was hopeful to get good results of her meeting with around 20 ambassadors and high commissioners at the Ambassadors’ Round Table Conference organised in New Delhi on June 4.
