Inauguration of Cotton Yarn Plant at Jhalawar

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that the start of operations at the Polyester and Cotton Blended Yarn Industries plant by Shri Vallabh Pittie Group is a big leap forward in the direction of realizing the dream of Resurgent Rajasthan.

Smt. Raje inaugurated the plant worth project cost Rs. 450 crore at Dhanodi Industrial Area in Jhalawar district on Thursday. She also founded two new units of the plant with estimated project cost of Rs 1200 crore by the Pittie Group at Kotda Jagir village.

While addressing the gathering the CM said that Rajasthan has become a brand name for investment not only in the country, but worldwide. She said that settling of investment would be important for development of any state. This would help creating infrastructure facilities as well as opportunities for employment. She said that it was a time to deliver what we promised to the industry leaders during Resurgent Rajasthan.

Smt. Raje said that setting up of the yarn factory would directly benefit the farmers of entire Kota division. With availability of fertile land, water for irrigation and proper electricity supply, the farmers in this region had opportunity to grow hybrid cotton, she added. This plant would give direct employment to 500 people and indirectly create livelihood opportunities for 30,000 persons. Also, two new yarn units at Kotda Jagir would be employment to 4,000 people and benefit lakhs of farmers, she added. She also inaugurated the skill development centre at the yarn factory.

CM Inaugurates Van Mahotsava in Jhalawar

Prior to this, Smt. Raje stated the 67th Van Mahotsava, an yearly plantation drive at village Rooppira Baldiya in Jhalawar. During this campaign 25 lakh saplings would be planted around the water structures created during the Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan (MJSA). In all, the Forest Department would plant 2.5 crore trees during this.

Speaking on this occasion, the CM said called upon every citizen of the state to plant five trees each. She said that all the sampling planted during Van Mahotsava would be geo-tagged to ensure proper care and identity of these plants. She said that during the plantation drive would also be tagged with MNREGA works.

The CM thanked villagers for participating in the MJSA and said that it would yield good results soon. She called upon the people to participate in the plantation drive. Watershed structures and plantation around them would help the villages become self-sufficient in water, she said.

In Jhalawar, Chief Minister Smt. Raje also inaugurated E-gyan project started by the district administration. She said that this project would benefit the young students from the rural regions as they would be able to access 45,000 books from their homes.

On this occasion, the CM launched M-Mitra project started by the Pittie Group. In this project, the lactating mothers would be given updated information about their health and immunization schedule of newborn babies for upto one year through mobile phones. Smt. Raje also started the ‘Jimo Sa’ project by the Pittie Group to provide food packets to the needy on subsidized rates.

During this, Public Works Department Minister Shri Yunus Khan, Member of Parliament Shri Dushyant Singh, MLAs Shri Narendra Nagar, Shri Kanwar Lal Meena, Shri Ramchandra Sunariwal, Zila Pramukh Smt. Tina Kumari, Chairperson of Rajasthan River Basin Authority Shri Sriram Vedire, ACS Forest Shri Nihal Chand Goyal, Principal Secretary Shri JC Mahanti, Divisional Commissioner Shri Raghuveer Singh Meena, Chairman of the Pittie Group Shri Chirag Pittie, District Collector Dr. Jitendra Soni, Commissioner RSLDC Shri Krishan Kunal and other dignitaries were present.
