Partnerships for Shared New Realities

With the vision of Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje to promote investment and increase employment opportunities in the state, a three-day Partnership Summit is being organized jointly by the Government of Rajasthan, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Govt. of India and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Jaipur.

Rajasthan famous for its hospitality and tourism is now being identified by top corporates as an ideal destination for investment. This recognition is the result of its natural resources, power sufficiency, availability of large land parcels, peaceful industrial and business climate, policy framework, trained manpower, well developed industrial and physical infrastructure etc. The State is home to two country specific investment zones i.e. Japanese and Korean zones. About 40 percent of the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) falls in the state — as does a large part of the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC). The State is a chosen location Who’s Who of corporate world. These include. Saint Gobain, Honda Motors, Honda Siel Cars, Lafarge, Deutsche Bank, Infosys, Eicher, Bosch, Pertoare to name a few. The State is attracting investments in sectors like automobile and ancillaries, IT &ITeS, Textile, Solar, Ceramic& Glass, MSME etc.

Rajasthan’s journey towards being the perfect investment destination is being complimented by the recent Government initiatives like development of State Highways, District Roads, establishment of Rajasthan State Highway Authority, intra-state air connectivity, capacity addition of 6,500 MW in the State in next five years, new Investment Promotion Policy and other key sector specific policies, thrust to promote investment in Defense industry etc.

The state is crafting initiatives across sectors with an aim to address the expectations of the investor in the dynamic and competitive marketplace. The State is developing strategies with a vision to make it one of premier locations not only for investment and work but also as a fascinating place to live in.

With a long-term vision of absolute promotion for investment as well as generation of ample employment opportunities in the State, Rajasthan Government will be hosting the flagship event of CII, which will bring together such a dignified gathering of global leaders, investors, businesspersons and policy makers in Jaipur. This event will mark as an important milestone for the upcoming Resurgent Rajasthan mega-event to be held in the month of November, 2015.

The inaugural session of the Summit will be held at Birla Auditorium on Thursday evening. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Union Railway Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Industry Minister of Rajasthan Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Prime Minister of Macedonia Shri Nikola Gruevski, Director General of CII Shri Chandrajit Banerjee, CII President Shri Ajay S Shriram, well-known industrialists of the country and ministers of countries like China, Kuwait, Malaysia, Australia, Bangaldesh and other countries will participate in the Summit.
