Folk Artistes Enthral Himalayan Valley With The Music From Sand Dunes
Folk artistes from Shekhawati region sprinkled colours and beauty of Rajasthani culture from the sand dunes into the Himalayan valley on Saturday evening. They enthralled and mesmerized art lovers at Bhutan Royal University during the ongoing Mountain Echoes Literature Festival.
Artistes Jamna Devi, Mali Devi, Karna Ram and Bhanwar Lal gave live performance of Rajasthan traditional music as they enchanted Kabir and Meera synchronized with the beats of dholak and ektara. Himalayan valley was mesmerised with their show of talent and responded in delight with many rounds of applause.
Prior to this, these folk musicians met the Mother Queen of Bhutan Smt. Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk at the university campus. Smt. Wangchuk appreciated their talent and wished them good.
