School Level Fee Committee having representatives of parents will decide fee in private schools

The State Cabinet on Monday gave approval to the proposal regarding Rajasthan Schools (Regulation of Fee) Rules, 2016 where provision has been made that school fee shall be decided by the School Level Fee Committee having representatives of parents, teachers and school management. The cabinet also gave approval to the Rajasthan Ayurvedic, Unani, Homeopathy and Naturopathy Service (Amendment) Rules, 2016.
Briefing the media after the cabinet meet Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore said provision has been made in Rajasthan Schools (Regulation of Fee) Rules, 2016 that a Parent-Teacher Association shall be formed in private schools and parents shall be chosen as the representatives in School Level Fee Committee through lottery. The School Level Fee Committee having the representatives of parents, teachers and school management. This School Level Fee Committee shall decide and approve the fee proposed by the school management every year. If the School Level Fee Committee fails to decide the fee within specified period the matter shall be referred to the Divisional Fee Regulatory Committee having the Divisional Commissioner as Chairperson. The appeal against the decision of the Divisional Fee Regulatory Committee could be made to the Revision Committee having Education Secretary as the Chairperson. The decision of Revision Committee shall be final regarding fee.
Shri Rathore informed that the cabinet gave approval to the Rajasthan Ayurvedic, Unani, Homeopathy and Naturopathy Service (Amendment) Rules, 2016 where provision has been made for creating the 33 posts of Yoga & Naturopathy Doctors so that people get benefit of the treatment through Naturopathy at every district headquarter. The cabinet also approved amendment in rule 112 of Rajasthan Service Rules, 1951 where provision has been made to provide study leave of 36 months to Ayurved Chikitsa Adhikari for acquiring the degree of Post Graduation. Approval was also given to the Rajasthan Medical & Health Subordinate Services (Amendment) Rules, 2016 where provision has been made to rename post of Psychiatric Social Worker as Psychological Counselor and MA/MSc in Psychology has been set as the minimum qualification.
The Cabinet during its meeting decided to postpone the Mukhyamatnri Shahri Jan Kalyan Shivirs proposed from January 21. The cabinet also gave approval to the amendment in the earlier cabinet decision of February 23, 2016 regarding Disinvestment in Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant of RVUN based on the recommendations made by M/s Ernst & Young and reports of R.V. Shahi Task Force. The Cabinet has decided that disinvestment through competitive bidding of 2×600 MW operational units 1& 2 of Kalisindh TPS. The disinvestment of Super Critical Unit 3 & 4 (2×660) shall be made separately.
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister informed that the State Cabinet also gave approval to the proposal regarding cadre review in Women & Child Development Department. Other proposals were also given approval including amendment in Rajasthan Subordinate & Ministerial Services Selection Board Rules, 2014 and proposal related to providing customized package to Bikaji Foods International Ltd under the provision of RIPS – 2010 for setting up a state of art integrated Food Processing Unit. The proposal for allotment of 12500 square meter land to New Initiative Apollo Hospital Enterprises Ltd. to establish Multi Specialty Hospital at Kuber Complex, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur on 200% of the reserved institutional price with 15% amount for urban body was also cleared by the cabinet.
