Development Of All Possible Only When Everybody Works Together
Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has called upon the people of the state to partner with the government in its efforts for Rajasthan to attain new heights of development. She said that as every drop counts to fill a pitcher, even smaller efforts could prove to be great steps on the path of prosperity. Till everybody does not come forward and contribute, development of all was not possible, she said.
Smt. Raje was addressing the state-level Independence Day function at Maharao Ummed Singh Stadium in Kota on Saturday. During this, she hoisted the national flag and inspected a joint parade. The CM also honoured talented persons from different sectors with medals and certificates for their exemplary services to the state and the society.
The Chief Minister said that the state was continuously progressing in tune with the Rigveda shloka ‘Chaireveti Chaireveti…’. She said that people of entrusted her the future of the state and she would abide by the Rajdharma and come true on their belief. She said that for Rajasthan to achieve new heights, everybody had to partner in the development of the state with their full energy and enthusiasm.
Smt. Raje said that hers was a government following the ideals of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay. She said
“He inspired us for development of one standing in the last queue and thus we learnt for betterment of the poor. We wish to take the light of development upto that person, who is standing at the far end”
The CM said that the way the people fought for independence years ago, everybody had to fight against corruption, terrorism, casteism and communalism. All needed to remain stick with a chord of trust and brotherhood, she said.
Smt. Raje said that to get the state out of economic crisis the state had been mired with, the public needed to distance themselves from the politics of protests and sit-ins and work with common pledge, collective efforts and united strength to realise this dream.
During the function, about 1,000 students from different schools in Kota and over 100 local artists gave cultural performances full of national fervour. Rajasthan Police personnel presented adventurous performances though riding on the horses and motorcycles. Attractive musical tunes were also displayed by the police and the army bands.
Minister of Investment and Trade of South Australia Shri Martin Hamilton Smith was present as the Guest of Honour of the function. State Tourism Minister Smt. Krishanendra Kaur Deepa, Members of Parliament Shri Dushyant Singh and Om Birla, Members of Legislative Assembly, other public representatives, Chief Secretary, DG of Police, senior administrative, police and army officials and other dignitaries also attended the event.
