National Executive Committee Meeting of FICCI

Jaipur, 04 February. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that after preparing a road map for health, education, tourism, skill development and other important sectors the state government is moving ahead in the direction of inclusive development. The state aims at strengthening infrastructure and we need people from industries to participate in this development process, she said.

Smt. Raje was addressing the National Executive Committee Meeting of FICCI in Jaipur on Wednesday. She said apart from tourism focus is on sectors related to social security importantly health and education sector. She said the state government is creating investor friendly atmosphere in the state. State has introduced ‘Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2014’ and Solar Energy Policy and now Tourism Policy, Minerals and Mines Policy and ITeS Policy are in the pipeline.

The Chief Minister said lots of changes are taking in place in the governance after the formation of new government in the centre under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi. State is also moving ahead in this direction after introducing labour reforms and taking various other initiatives. She called upon civil society, NGOs and people from Industries to come along with the state government and prepare programmes that could prove to be beneficial for the public.

Smt. Raje also asked corporate world to come forward to fulfill social responsibilities. She asked them to participate in big projects like mid-day-meal and drinking water which can provide benefit to the larger sections. To make an inclusive budget the state government is talking to everybody and inviting ideas and suggestions from various groups. It is the right time to put back the finance on wheels and the suggestions received from the FICCI National Executive Committee will also help the state budget in many ways, she said.

The Chief Minister said to know about how much benefit of development could reach to the people living in the remote areas of the state our government started ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ programme where efforts were made to solve their problems. She said that by removing the hurdles we will have to ensure that benefit of developmental schemes reaches to the last man. Lots of support and help is required to complete this task, she said.

Smt. Raje said to ensure that amount of money is utilized properly at Panchayay level we made educational qualification compulsory for the candidates participating in Panchayati Raje elections. Young people having degrees of IIT, MBA, Graduation and Masters have been elected as Panch and Sarpanch. The state will definitely benefit from their vision, she said. Cleanliness is another important thing which has been taken care of in the state, she added.

During interactive session the Chief Minister had discussions with FICCI members on thrust sectors of development. She appealed to the people of industry to adopt historical monuments of the state and asked FICCI Ladies Organisation to help in promoting women entrepreneurship. Members of the FICCI National Executive Committee also gave suggestions and ideas on sectors like Tourism, Health and Education.

While welcoming all the guests and delegates President of FICCI Dr. Jyotsna Suri said state has investment friendly atmosphere due to the development oriented vision of Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje. Senior Vice President of FICCI Shri Harshvardhan Neotia proposed vote of thanks in the end. Senior officials of the state government were present during the meet.
