CM reviews preparations of Rajya Swasthya Bima Yojana
Jaipur, 31 January. Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje reviewed preparations of Rajya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY). She asked officials to ensure that benefits of the scheme reach the eligible beneficiaries. The scheme will be linked with the Bhamashah card.
Under the RSBY the beneficiaries will get insurance cover of Rs. 30,000 for normal ailment while cover of upto Rs. 3 lakh for the identified critical ailments. Smt. Raje asked officials to draw a clear line between ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’ so that it could be ensured that people who can afford do not get benefit and only eligible persons could be covered under the scheme. She also asked to ensure that people from other states were kept out so that benefits of the scheme reach the eligible patients of the state.
Smt. Raje said it should be properly monitored that private hospitals which have been allotted land free of cost or on concessional rates were treating BPL patients or not. It should be ensured that whether these hospitals were complying with the conditions of the government. The officials of Medical & Health Department informed that software is being prepared to collect data of the hospitals which are not complying the conditions. They informed that free treatment to BPL patients will be included in the land allotment conditions.
Chief Secretary Shri C.S. Rajan, Principal Secretary Medical Shri Mukesh Sharma, Principal Secretary Finance Shri P.S. Mehra, Secretary, Planning Shri Akhil Arora, Mission Director NRHM Shri Naveen Jain and Additional Mission Director Shri Neeraj K. Pawan were present during the meeting.
