Rajasthan to strengthen partnership with Japan

Meeting with JETRO Delegation

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has said that Rajasthan has benefitted from the special relationship between India and Japan. She said Japan and Rajasthan have been working together for more than a decade and this partnership will keep going stronger. The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has been playing pivotal role in this partnership, she said.

Smt. Raje was speaking during her meeting with delegation of JETRO at Chief Minister’s office on Wednesday. The Japanese zone, set up in Neemrana during her last regime has become a role model and other states also emulating it. Chief Minister, while remembering her fruitful visit to Japan said because of the Seminars and Investors Meets organised by JETRO, Rajasthan saw inward received investment of more than 1700 crores from Japan.

The Chief Minister said Solar energy is the power of the future and Rajasthan is the ideal destination for investment in Solar Energy. She invited Japanese companies to invest in Solar Energy sector too.

Smt. Raje said most of the issues raised during the last meeting with JETRO delegation have been resolved. She assured that Rajasthan Government was committed to provide all possible cooperation and support to JETRO and Japanese investors.

Chief Director General of JETRO-India Mr. Kazuya Nakajo and other members of the JETRO delegation praised the steps taken by Chief Minster Smt. Vasundhara Raje to create an investor friendly atmosphere and promote Ease of Doing Business in the state.

Shri Takashi Tsuchiya, Deputy Director General JETRO, Shri Hiroshi Daikoku, Senior Investment Advisor JETRO, Shri Tetsuya Magatani, MD Nippon Steel & Sumikin Pipe India Pvt. Ltd. & Chairman Neemrana Investment Zone, Shri Takayoshi Tokimune, Vice Chairman, Neemrana Investment Zone and Shri Tomihiro Murakami, Chief Secretary of Neemrana Investment Zone were also part of the delegation.
