CSI ‘e-Ratna of India’ award handed over to CM

The ‘e-Ratna of India’ award conferred upon Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje by Computer Society of India during the 52nd Annual Convention was handed over to Smt. Raje on Wednesday by Principal Secretary, IT & Communication Shri Akhil Arora here at Chief Minister’s residence.

While taking the award, CM Raje said providing service delivery to our citizens in a quick and transparent manner was on the top priority of our government. The innovations made in the IT sector in Rajasthan during the last four years have set an example in the country and Rajasthan has emerged as the model state in IT sector, she said.

CSI Nihilent 52nd edition of e-Governance Awards were organized at Science City, Kolkata on 20th January. Shri Rao Rajendra Singh, Deputy Speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly received the award on behalf of CM Smt. Raje.

While conferring the award CSI mentioned that the phenomenal work being done by Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje was outstanding in every aspect and Smt. Raje had taken Rajasthan to the forefront making the state a star in e-Governance.

Also, Rajasthan emerged as the Best e-Governance State for its excellence, bagging the award at CSI Annual Convention, adding another feather to the cap. Along with this, five initiatives, from Dept. of IT & Communication won e-governance initiative of the year award.

‘Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana’ (BSBY) bagged best initiative in the field of healthcare, ‘Raj Mahila Suraksha’ in women safety and security, ‘Raj e-Gyan’ in education; ‘Fraud Detection Framework’ for process innovation and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s ambitious project ‘Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan’ (MJSA) received excellent initiative of the year award.

Rajasthan’s excellent performance at CSI Nihilent e-Governance Awards once again proved its mettle in the field of digitalization. The Digital Rajasthan mission under the vision and leadership of CM Smt. Vasundhara Raje has been committed to providing efficient, reliable and transparent government with the mantra of good governance. The State endeavours in the field of Information and communication technology (ICT) have profoundly changed almost all aspects of society and this is now certified by prestigious Computer Society of India.
